Pho I'd much prefer pho for thanksgiving than a turkey and sides (we have some kind of Asian food every year for Thanksgiving).

Seriously mom, you all LOVE whatever is in your cupboard right now. That is why it is there. This is a good cultural lesson. Vietnamese people also eat whatever packaged ready-to-eat food you can shove in his backpack because MOMS HAVE NO TIME FOR THESE EXTRA ASSIGNMENTS.

My kids have a strange obsession with dum dum lollipops that’s become a family joke - so that’d be ours. Don’t feel the need to make it culturally significant beyond your little family’s family culture

You can bring something simple that you all like- like if you all love oreos although it has nothing to due with your heritage. Do you all have a favorite tgiving food? Or favorite treat?

It just came to light that my 4th grader’s class is having a Friendsgiving TOMORROW!! He’s supposed to bring a food that’s meaningful to our family. We’re Vietnamese, but this is so dang last minute. I have no time to prepare anything.
My child says he wants to bring pho but that’s not happening. I need ideas!
