You said they have 100s of millions of dollars. They don’t need $300 from you. Pick a $100ish gift from the registry and be done with it.

But that is likely thier gift. Give a gift or cash. Either one is great.

If they’re that rich it’s rude they even have a registry imo. They should have done some kind of charity donation.
You don’t give cash AND a gift thoigh, it’s one or the other.

Thanks all. Yes going to purchase a gift between all the bridesmaids costs it's been very expensive too. They are paying for our accommodations at their destination wedding however

Just purchase a couple registry gifts and be done with it. You should send something, but I feel cash is tacky when you are in the wedding party.

I would just purchase a registry gift. I personally hate giving cash to friends, but I will give money to the "honeymoon fund" (or similar) if the physical gifts on the registry have already been purchased.

We are in the wedding party and wondering If a couple has a wedding registry that was made after the engagement party with things on it like house fund, new furniture fund, honeymoon fund plus items from various stores at various price points. Is it acceptable to purchase them a gift off the registry in lieu of a card and cash at the ceremony? If not how much would you give in cash? Would we get both a physical gift and a cash card? We purchased a gift for the engagement party and we are planning on getting two items off their registry. Unsure about the card and cash situation.

To clarify, they don't need the money. Step-dad is paying for the wedding. They both have hundreds of millions of dollars in trusts and they both make close to a million dollars a year, he light already be there. All to say they aren't lacking in money and a card with $300 feels "cute"

I also don't think they are expecting cash on the day of but curious what others would do or have done? We have a few weeks to figure it out
