Subject: Honda Minivan - Transmission Flush ?
Any suggestions about a Honda Minivan with 50K miles. We are being quoted $600 by the dealer for a transmission fluid flush.
Are there other options? JiffyLube has a $215 Drain and Fill (and I guess you need to do it a couple of times to equal a flush) - but the Honda supposedly needs a special fluid.
Far away Honda dealerships will do it for ~$400, but that is a long way out.
Midas has quoted ~$300 for a transmission fluid flush - will they use the correct transmission fluid?
Just trying to figure out if this is really an issue best left to the local dealer, or if non-Honda service centers can do it as well.
