Why pass up the opportunity to be the creepy old person in a club full of 20-somethings?

In the pit area at concerts. We go out to the Tarara Concerts in the summer and there are lots of ppl of all ages dancing all night (these are very fun cover band concerts at an outside amphitheater).

What kind of dancing? DH and I are in our 50s and go to The Salsa Room in McLean. It's got plenty of space for dancing (Latin) - it's primarily a dance club and has 2 levels. I'm sure hook ups happen but even my 40+ single friends get asked to dance - and dance they do!

They are on Google maps. Fulton is fairly nice.

As for OP's question, in Fairfax County we are in bed by 9:30pm, so no dancing.

Hi! Are there bars or clubs in the DMV with space to dance where older (50+) people hang out? So far this is what I found:

Looneys in Fulton -- cover bands and dancing Fri/Sat, looks like a big older generation pickup place
Outta the Way Cafe in Derwood -- older scene, but a lot of regulars and live music but really no dance space

Not that there is anything wrong with these places, but is there somewhere nicer with good drinks where both older singles and couples dress up to go out dancing? From what I see the DC dance clubs are pretty much filled with 20 somethings and I am hoping there are places I haven't discovered yet.
