The level of instruction may or may not be exactly the same. There is a lot of adjusting for students that happens in any classroom, and certainly in a class that is a mix of students identified LIV and not identified.

Prinicipal placed is technically not level IV. Level IV is only determined by the central committee. You cannot continue with AAP in middle school if not determined Level IV by the central committee.

I suspect if a parent is submitting a referral for AAP, it’s helpful to have it listed on the report card that they’re already doing the work when central committee reviews the file.

Agree - at my school the aart said there was a big clean up to the coding because of too much confusion about who was eligible and what it meant. If they are identified for III, that’s what the report card should say- less confusing - expense that AAP materials are being used in so many classes more, not just IV.

Principal placed kid is not officially IV 4 student. Only county selected ones will have that. I assume that it was a mistake last year’s report card.

My DC has been principal-placed in LLIV AAP class for a few years. The report card for Q1 this year says "AAP Services- Part-time advanced academic programs". Last year, it said, "level of AAP services: IV". Any one else with principal-placed kids have the same notation this year? It's weird, because DC is in a full-time AAP classroom, so should be receiving full-time services.
