It has a burlap backing. The label says 100% polyester Pile hand hook.


The backing is really tough, because that means it can’t really be washed. But you can probably use an extractor, either a home one you can rent from Home Depot or giant or one on a truck you can hire like Stanley Steemer.

You need to determine what it’s made of (eg wool, nylon, etc) and you need to turn it over and see whether it’s attached to any kind of backing. Like is the underside burlap, or rubber, or can you see basically the reverse or underside of the same material that is on the top?

How do you clean a 8' x 10' rug? It's a yellow rug. There aren't any stains but it's looking dirty.
