She doesn’t want to eat at the wharf. Also surf side is so mid.
+1. What a bizarre recommendation.

There are a few good spots at the navy yard. Or maybe something near the ballpark? Probably easy to get a reservation in the off season. I like due south and salt line, but have heard good things about Chloe and Bammys. And district winery has a nice space.

Just don’t like the Wharf in general as a kind of Disneyfication of DC. Plus it’s overpriced in general.

Weird post because I don't know what "vibe" could be included for everything that is at the Wharf. However, I would suggest as possible alternatives Masala Art on 4th street in southwest. Really good Indian food in a nice setting. Nothing fancy but very good. Another option would be to go down to The Point in Buzzard Point or over as far as Navy Yard? Really depends on what you are looking for and what your beef is with the Wharf as a whole. If you want more casual but are okay at the Wharf, try Colada Shop or Lupo Marino.

Going to a show at the Anthem and want to eat first but not at the wharf because we don't like that vibe.
