I would meet at the cafe of the National Portrait Gallery.

Your group is small enough that you could easily pull this off. Plus it’s that perfect combination of being quiet enough so you can hear each other talk and loud enough that you conversation just fades into the background.

You might also call your local indie bookstore; some of them host book clubs and might have a space they'd let you use.

My book club has held a meeting at the now defunct Russia House to discuss Gentleman in Moscow, and we met at Cuba Libre to discuss Next Year in Havana.

If you’re willing to travel brunch at Inn at Glen Echo is nice because they have a lot of smaller rooms.

Off hours at a restaurant or coffee shop but people should buy at least drinks and tip well

Library meeting room, can reserve online

Does anyone have an office space? I can use my office conference room on weekends with advance approval

Outdoors if weather is okay, like tables outside the library of Congress

We have met at Panera's. Basically, you need a self serve kind of place that allows the customers to sit indefinitely.

Usually someone else can host. But, the group ranges widely in ages and living situations. So, there is a smaller number that usually has the space to host. For various reasons, this month we may have to cancel if we don't find an alternation location. So, looking for any ideas.

We normally rotate book club among members houses and apartments or club rooms. This month's host just had to cancel. Any ideas in NW DC or Capitol Hill for a meeting location for 5 -10 people?
