Now, Dupont Circle CVS.
How long before all CVS stores close in DC?

The only crime this year where Councilmembers Parker and Frumin got outraged and demanded action from the USAO was when a citizen shot a car thief.

Why doesn't anyone try to stop these criminals? Because the leadership in D.C. hasn't created a society that's a free for all with no rules. It's created a society where criminals are allowed to do whatever they like, but law abiding citizens are going to have the hammer brought down on them if they ever dare to fight back.

Vote with your feet and tax dollars let the woke cities rot

+100 let the cities be left with all criminals to deal with and the high tax payers will be long gone!!!

Agree.

At 30 seconds in the camera guy slides the door shut and locks it as the mob proceeds to take out the would be criminals until the police meander over.

Dude still had an airpod in and barely mussed his gorgeous hair while sitting on the criminal. Nice.

Oh yeah he does have nice hair.

You're allowed to defend yourself with reasonable force. You can't execute someone running away from you. Be reasonable.

Yes. Must be attacked and hurt before you can do anything. Of course, you might be dead.

The guy wasn’t executed, seems he was charging at the guy when he was shot. Keep in mind it was 4 am and he was one of a group of 3 car thieves. And the citizen immediately called an ambulance and performed first aid after the shooting.

I think it did later come out that the guy shot at the car that the other two car thieves were driving in first. But that info came out later. Frumin and Parker were pushing the USAO to go after this guy before we had any details, and the only thing we knew was that he shot a criminal.

Plus, they'll likely get fired or prosecuted for harming a thief. Everyone is learning the lesson they've been taught: let the hungry, misunderstood criminals take what they want.

What planet do you live on? Are you spending a lot of time in your office confronting violent criminals? Is risking your life part of your job?

The CVS in Tenleytown will ultimately close. Almost everything is already locked up. I'm surprised thieves even bother. But ultimately what they make at the pharmacy won't be worth it anymore. It's almost a daily occurrence. That lease will not be renewed.
