Whoa, I have a 2016 and it’s already so much bigger with the third row up than most of the other stuff in its class. I have two kids and two big retrievers and always thought I’d have to get a suburban if we wanted a third dog. But that looks great.

Inside way bigger than old model
Acadia. Not out for a few weeks but I want to go see it myself.

Yes, I want to see the new Acadia and the new Traverse.

New Lexus TX. Real 3rd row with full leg and head row, plus capitain's chairs in the 2nd row.

Dogs go on the floor...but realistically how often are you traveling with them + all seats filled?

Don't buy a vehicle based on edge case uses.

Tween really wants the in-car bucket seat and video screen, so I though van, but I worry it’ll feel like instant frump? Currently in a 2015 Honda Pilot though and really due for a change (yes, I know these run forever, but the seats are all smooshed and getting uncomfortable). Thank you for any thoughts!

It is an instant frump. This is vain/petty/silly of me, I admit that, but you couldn't pay me to drive a van because it's so frumpy.

News for you. You are frumpy already.

This. I was joking to my male friend about driving a minivan and owning my divorced MILF status. He said I'm a MILF whatever I drive. It's not about the vehicle - if you're a trump* you're a frump, can't put lipstick on a pig.

*frump

SUV, the kid does not need screens in the car. They can use a phone or iPad.

So your one concern is that you will be un-cool?

With 3 dogs I would prioritize cargo space over your one tween wanting a bucket seat.

Drive a few and see what you like. As your pups get older a minivan might be easier for them to get in and out. My wife loved her Suburban. 225,000 trouble free miles before she hit an embankment, rolled it on some ice.
