OP here both myself and DH can't be in with her at the moment. The EMT put some monitors on her and said her heart rate was a bit too fast and oxygen was low. They've given her a mask and put lots of tubes in for her to get antibiotics. She's less awake and isn't too aware of all that's happening than when we called but trying not to panic about everything. Hoping your prayers reach her, thanks all for the words.

This happened to me as a child. Back then, I was in the hospital a long time, but started to feel better within a few days of the beginning of treatment. Praying for your child!

Breathing faster and a rash does not mean sepsis. These can both be normal with a fever. Hopefully that is the case with your DD and all is well

PP here again. Once the doctors started the antibiotics our son started to get better before our eyes. It was remarkable. It took a few days for a full recovery but it happened.

You did everything right, OP. It's not your fault.

She's generally healthy, right? She'll get through it. My elderly MIL with all sorts of pre-existing conditions recovered from sepsis in the hospital.

It's normal to be scared. Big hugs to you and your daughter! Focus on making her as comfortable as possible, both physically and psychologically.

I wanted to make a post just to externalise my stress and fear. Daughter had a fever, a few hours later it got worse and then she quickly started breathing faster. We noticed a rash and called 911 and have spotted the signs of sepsis early so that's our hope. I just couldn't keep it to myself and DH and need prayers from many, she's a fighter but I'm terrified I didn't get her checked earlier in the fever.

Has anyone been through this, when or does it get better. Thank you. I'll try to post occasionally and sorry to burden this on you
