Standard Netflix slop. 20 years ago this would have been a bad Miramax movie that is hyped up as a sleeper Oscar nomination.

I don't get it. Reading another online discussion forum, so many people love the Netflix miniseries; but it changes so much from the book! Am I the only one who thinks it was horrible? How can so many people rave so much about the book and still think the miniseries is so good?
