I'm very forthcoming with expectations - we've had many conversations over months about those expectations. They often haven't listened to the advice I've given (not related to expectations). But day 1 rolled around and the very first words out of their mouth indicated I needed to remind them of expectations, which I did twice.
They've given feedback on work products that isn't constructive. E.g. not specific and when asked for specific feedback are unable to give it.
I am frustrated because it's not just a lack of communication but it's also a total inability for them to communicate in an effective way.
