Yes, would think so. We were paying $120 for 50 mins 8-9 years ago.
We did do some at Childrens main campus, but our copay was $50, plus our insurance charged a $50 facility fee to be on the hospital campus (whole other issue…), plus parking and the hassle of getting there…we thought if we were paying $105 (the two copays and parking), we would just as soon choose someone who was a good fit, challenged our child and was a better location for us.

i am an SLP and that is competitive for the DMV. I'd say private practice runs you $135-$165 per session. I charge $160 and I have about 18 years of experience and am very specialized.

Pretty normal, see if your insurance will cover it but usually not for articulation.

We paid around 125/session. Once weekly for a full year. That was 6 years ago, so 150 sounds fair.

That's high, but only worth it for someone amazing. There are good out of pocket people. I have found price does not guarantee quality. we once went to a middle age woman who claimed to have decades of experience. It was false advertising. She had recently become a ST, and before that she was a special ed teacher. The implication from her advertising was she had decades of experience working as a ST and she seemed to feel entitled to be paid at the highest level possible. I sat in on the first few sessions and she had no idea what she was doing so we moved on. That was a number of years ago.

This is what we paid in 2021. It was more like a 45-50 minute session, not a full hour.

Through the school system it’s free.

Through insurance it’s your copay (so, $30/he for me).

Out of pocket, that seems reasonable - I saw as high as $400.

Kid has a lisp/articulation issue. Wondering if this is a competitive price or I should be shopping around.
