We always do a wall calendar- it's started when they were little and I was padding with gifts from the dollar tree and now it's a running joke.

Gift card for wherever they currently like going with friends - bubble tea, sandwich shop etc. I usually put it in a bigger box to throw them off.

My kids like movies and music, so a hoodie with a favorite movie or artist.

A mom-day or dad-day with theatre or concert tickets (this is for their big gift). It can still work to do movie tickets or something smaller.

Fuzzy socks/PJ pants/gloves etc.

Definitely browse 5 below for silly things. A neon wall light. Golden Girls or Bob Ross candy tins. Giant candy tubes. T shirts. Fidgets and keychains and magnets.

We always fill their stockings with toiletries like deodorant, body wash, moisturizer etc. Will also add specific snacks that they like. For example, ds LOVES those everything bagel chips from Costco, so I’ll buy him some and wrap it up as a “fun” personal gift.

I agree with going to five below.
I wouldn’t get teens nice paper and drawing stuff unless you know they like that.

A game that can take up a lot of time on Christmas Day to keep everyone busy and having fun together. Last year we got Ticket to Ride which everyone still enjoys. Or an outdoor game like Bocce or pickle ball could be fun.

If he is into spicy food, it maybe fun to get him snacks from other countries that are spicy. There are some really hot ones out there. You can go to the many different ethnic grocery stores to get them. You can also probably find them on Amazon.

My DS is into fancy salt and spicy food, so I was going to look for chili crisp and a salt sampler. He also loves candy, but grandma has that covered. Cheap wireless ear buds (because he loses them) and calendar of his favorite video game. And telescoping smores forks.

13 and 15 year old boys. We've bought a bunch of sports equipment recently that cost lots o' money. Not looking to get them anything big this year, but don't want to get them just clothes. Any good, interesting, cheapo ideas that will fill out what's under the tree?
