Maybe I lie more than the average person but the idea of never having ever said anything other than truth and honesty doesn't even seem humanly possible to me.
I don't lie to my spouse at all. Never have. I don't lie in general. It isn't scruples, I just think it's too hard and not worth it -- people get caught at it. Also I can usually tell when people are lying, it's a skill I've had pretty much my whole life, so I think when I was a kid I kind of assumed that if I were to lie it wouldn't work, people would know.
