I don’t believe I’ve ever lied but I’m sure I’ve omitted some relevant facts. I stand corrected - I know I’ve told him I had an orgasm when I hadn’t. I classify that as a good lie. I haven’t told him some things that I know he’d be upset about but I didn’t lie.

Nope, I am a terrible liar and it eats away at me.

I was on another discussion board and someone said that in 20 years they had never lied or said anything untrue or given any false impressions to their spouse.

Maybe I lie more than the average person but the idea of never having ever said anything other than truth and honesty doesn't even seem humanly possible to me.

I don't lie to my spouse at all. Never have. I don't lie in general. It isn't scruples, I just think it's too hard and not worth it -- people get caught at it. Also I can usually tell when people are lying, it's a skill I've had pretty much my whole life, so I think when I was a kid I kind of assumed that if I were to lie it wouldn't work, people would know.

No but my husband has lied and omitted the truth many of times and it has led to me having no trust in him. He knows I don't trust him and we've done marriage counseling and he just started individual counseling to try and figure out/fix why he does it.

Just to note he lies about what he's eaten for lunch, to things he bought etc. It's not just me he lies to but everyone.

Yes, one thing that would be a lie of omission I think, but we have never actually had a conversation about the topic. It eats away at me often because I'm someone who never, ever lies.

Have you ever told your spouse something that was untrue, or led them to believe something other than the full truth? Told a lie or omitted something or denied knowing something?

Have you ever been not 100% honest with them?
