Probably could. But they regrow every night. plucking them is a big part of my morning routine. Ugh.
I'm intersted in the electrolysis idea!

This.

I have three very wiry chin hairs that I pluck and they come back; I'm super blonde so I don't have the choice of electrolysis. Wish I did.

Hair color has nothing to do with electrolysis. This type of hair growth is exactly what electrolysis is best for.

Exactly. Laser hair removal is the treatment where you need dark hair and light-to-medium skin, though I think modern lasers are improving for darker skin tones.

I just did my last laser session yesterday for this. I also take spironalactone. Shaving was leaving marks on my face (I am Black) and that was unacceptable.

Other obvious options are chemical hair removers and electrolysis.

You might want to experiment a bit to find what works best for you.

Welcome to being a mature woman. Your leg and armpit hair may diminish a bit but it migrates to your face 🙄

!!! What else is in store? Or do I not want to know?

This is OP - and I am 50. So probably yes! I've been on the pill that stops your period for over a decade so I thought I wouldn't actually know when I hit perimenopause but apparently I have other ways of knowing.

Talk to your gynecologist. There is a medication you can take that can stop the hair growth. Unfortunately, once the follicle has started to grow those hairs, it can't be reversed but the medication can keep others from starting. I wish I'd brought up the issue with my dr years ago. By the time I raised the issue my chin was pretty far gone! I shave daily and one of these days will invest in laser treatment.

I gave myself an unusually close look in the mirror yesterday and discovered that my chin is suddenly covered in short black hairs?! This is not the one-off wiry hair that needs plucking elsewhere - this is almost like a gd baby beard or something?!?!?!

I thought maybe it was clogged pores at first and did one of those enzyme exfoliating washes - then this morning was like, eff it, and waxed. Yes, hairs.

I am no stranger to unwanted hair. I spent a fortune having hair lasered off my upper lip, legs, and underarms when I was a younger woman. But this is a fresh new hell!

Do I need to wax every week now? Go back for more lasers? (I live in a hot, sunny climate now so I always have at least a light tan - I don't know if I CAN even get my face lasered anymore.) See a doctor?
