Call the school and ask to talk to current grade 6 counselor. The two classes that are leveled are social studies (where an enriched "Historical Inquiry into Global Humanities" class is offered) and math (where 7th graders can take algebra or pre-algebra, as opposed to 7th grade math).

My family is moving back to MoCo next July after several years of being based overseas, and I'm trying to get re-acquainted with the MoCo school system. I have a kid who will be starting grade 7 in a middle school that feeds to BCC in academic year 2024-2025. I was wondering if there's anything I need to do beyond re-registering him in the spring (ex: testing that needs to be done for class placements since my kid has been in a different school system) Thanks in advance!
