I love almond extract. Just a tiny amount goes a long way - its strong! Whatever you buy, make sure its the real thing and not imitation flavors.

Most almond extracts are made from the pits of peaches, cherries, or apricots (also called bitter almond). Some contain some almond oil added in.

I will be trying mine with bitter almond .

Strangely enough, my son used to always say it smelled like cherries not almonds and I would tell him he was imagining it lol.

King Arthur Flour has a Fiori di Sicilia that is very popular. It's a orange, lemon and vanilla combo and so good.
But use sparingly; a little goes a long way.

Lavender extract in Earl Gray tea and a few baked goods. Just a very tiny amount.

I use lemon to up the lemon punch in baked goods. I’ve used peppermint around the holidays for double chocolate chip mint cookies and brownies.

Hi. I love baking and I am always looking for extracts and flavorings besides vanilla.

I invest money in a new extract only to find that it doesn’t taste like what it’s supposed to or is just not good.

Can anyone recommend brands and flavors they like using?
