Canvas has never automatically synced to StudentVue. The teachers must hit a button for it to sync. One of the big problems is that sometimes a late assignment does not sync if there are only a few students with a newly graded assignment. The IT people told me this is a common problem with late assignments. Because I can't trust the system to sync late assignments, I put them all in by hand. I also ask my students to please double check their StudentVue accounts frequently and let me know if they find any discrepancies.

No. Teachers do not have a few extra days to complete late assignments. The idea is that most students will complete assignments on time therefore it won't be difficult for teachers to grade a few late papers.

My child has the assignment graded but not reflected in the student view. What is the process to get it updated?

Yes, but it usually requires a grade change form and isn’t worth doing unless it changes the letter grade.

If Larla had a 71.29% with two assignments not entered (blank), she’s not going to earn an A. And she probably won’t earn a B.

If Larla had 71.29% with two missing assignments because she missed the due date, adding them could move the letter grade even with a late penalty.

However, the grade could move down as well as up. If she did poorly, adding two 50% assignments could lower Larla’s grade to a D.

Teachers and admins know. And it isn’t a couple days later.

Teachers are expected to submit by 3 pm today.

10/31/2023.. End of Marking Period
11/1/2023.. Teacher Grades Due by End of the Duty Day
11/2/2023.. School Grades Due @ 2:00 p.m.
11/9/2023.. Report Cards Available in Synergy
11/9/2023.. Report Cards Distributed
1/18/2024.. 45th day deadline for grade changes
