Agreed. Our daughter is a '25 and Coach Renee's book, FB group, and advice have been invaluable. Our club uses Sports Recruits, which is very similar to the NCSA platform, but is included in the registration cost (definitely less costly than ncsa)

- Determine if you player even wants to play on the next level. Does he/she have skill, soccer iq, etc. to play in college? Be realistic.
- Create and upload highlight videos. never know when an injury may occur.
- Contact a wide range (D1, D2, etc.) of schools before showcases, games, etc.; generally, the showcase provides a full list of schools attending.
- Follow-up with those same schools (with video from showcase) after the games
- Upload more video as the season progresses.
- Reach out to interested coaches with video updates on a regular schedule.
- Make sure your player's top schools are a great, even if soccer wasn't part of the equation.

I hate to admit it, but the Renee Lopez book did help both me and my DD thru the recruitment process...

Yes. I believe the Free platform allows you to also upload six highlight videos.

No. Don’t Pay to be added to their large databases so that schools (all type)can find your kid info and send invites to their ID camps. That’s all you get. Everything else is stuff you can do own your own for free. if you don’t know what to do just google it.

ID camps are not worth either. If the school wants your kid they will invite him for free. The camp is to have a pool of several kids and fund the head coach travel to showcases and the team’s travel to Europe.

I dont agree with previous poster. It is not at all a hassle to use NCSA. We used NCSA and it most certainly streamlined the process and made it easier to sort, investigate and communicate. Mind you all of this can be done on your own with some effort (hassle). Would I use NCSA again knowing what I know, the answer is likely No. Everything they offer can be done without their help if you put in the work. My kid is now playing in college and interestingly the school is not one we developed through use of NCSA it was done through direct communication and club coach to college coach reference.
Aside I do believe some college coaches are not fans of getting emails sourced from recruiting services which will in fact be the case if you use their platform to do so. Just my two cents

I know someone who was late to the recruiting game and found them helpful. Kid is now playing at a good division 3 school and is happy.

If your kid was recruited to play college soccer, did you use NCSA's services? I keep getting emails from them, but I am not sure if it's just a money grabber. TIA
