Anyone reasonable in your situation would be focused on changing their circumstances not on dating potential. In current situation, no rational person would want to get involved.

Most people are naturally drawn to equals due to similarities and familiarities but in today's world, its a more informed and conscious choice. People don't want to divide their resources, they want to multiply them.

My wife checked all those boxes when I met her (unemployed, clunker, lived with parents) but she had a valuable degree. She eventually found a government job and is now a GS14. Guys who are looking for a relationship will see you as a potential partner as long as you have long-term potential.

There is no reason for you to not work. There is so much work out there. Every restaurant is hiring. I make anywhere from $30-$50 an hour in a regular cafe and we can't find workers.
The turnoff for the gentlemen will be you not working. In fact, get a job in a restaurant. It's a good exercise, they feed you, you get some cash most nights, and you will find plenty of men if you are lovely. Don't talk about your car or your mother.

Such guy usually comes with shitload of other problems. I'm dating a guy who works at an autobody shop. Recent immigrant and even he has been able to work himself up in 6 years.
I have never met an American born who works hard, but still has to drive a shitbox car, live in a studio, be it a blue collar job. The reason they are not hacking it, is that they are not working hard enough. That's a turn off.
I'm an immigrant and worked myself into riches with fairly minimum pay. I will never know why locals can't do that unless they have bad health.

As a guy, I don’t put as much emphasis on those things. However, flip the script and ask a woman the same question about a guy. A guy with a shiatbox car, studio apartment, and non profit job or something blue collar will get him nowhere with women in this region.

I am not a man, but I think you should focus your energy on improving your financial situation and work through any personal problems. Feeling undeserving and bad about yourself is just going to send off desperate vibes and you will attract the dregs. Unless you are early 20s and very attractive- get to work.
