And yet, you still keep doing it!

Just got a boy who looked maybe 3.5 or 4 years old. English wasn’t his first language, but he knew how to say “more.” He ended up taking two dozen pieces of chocolate. He was sooooo adorable!

That adorable little boy made my night!

Also in 20853 - very polite, just surprised there aren’t more of them!

All polite in 22015, too (except the really tiny one who was too terrified to do anything, lol).

Op here and it doesn’t matter. Past years I have had super sweet, cute and polite kids like you, PP. Maybe it’s just a streak of bad luck.

Or maybe it’s the zip code?

I’d blame the parents.

The only time in the last 25 years I’ve had a “rude” kid it was a 5 year old boy who literally shoved both hands in the candy bowl and took heaping fistfuls of candy as his mother gasped in horror and apologized profusely while admonishing him. I couldn’t stop laughing because it was shocking and hilarious.

I could hear the kid say to his mother as she dragged him away, “But she had Kit Kats and they’re my favorite!”

I really sound like an old grouchy person, but I’m not. I really like kids and Halloween is my favorite holiday. I am shocked at how many rude kids have come by my house trying and actually yanking the bowl of candy away from me.
