Fairfax is Fairfax county, including Tysons. Are you trying to distinguish Fairfax City? That's somewhere else.

I’m not sure what you’re getting at but this car jacking in was in Tysons, not Fairfax. Yes it is Fairfax County, but that’s not what people are saying. They’re saying this was a Fairfax carjacking. That would suggest it is in the city of fairfax or town of fairfax

That’s certainly the portion of this post to hone in on like an obsessive lunatic. Good job.

Seriously. Pedantic person, I believe OP was trying to indicate that the DC resident was committing crimes in the suburbs. There is nothing incorrect about a Fairfax reference here.

Nope. Fairfax is the county. If it is Fairfax City, then they say Fairfax City.

From the court docket it looks like he was sentenced to a whopping 18 months for that case back in January 2023.

Better than nothing. That's actual prison time.

Now he can spend some prison time in a Virginia prison.

But he doesn't seem to have actually served that time because he was out and terrorizing the community again recently.

Oh, you're right, I misread the dates. Sentenced to 18 months in January and carjacking again in October? What happened?

I’m guessing he received credit for the time he was in jail before being sentenced.

Okay. That carjacking was in January 2022, so if he was held in jail, then that might add up to 18 months.

Then another carjacking on October 23 in DC and now another on October 30 in VA.

Why don't we take his cry for help seriously and lock him for the next few years?

Also from the court docket it appears he has a case that he was arraigned on on October 24th but that was in reference to him possessing a shank when he was at the DC Jail in August 2022. Nice to see that they didn’t get the warrant signed for that incident until after he was sentenced in January 2023 for the carjacking.

Let me get this straight: "On Monday, October 23, 2023, 20-year-old Mecca Lee-Bey of Southeast, DC was arrest and charged with Kidnapping, Armed Robbery (Knife), Simple Assault, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Theft One (Stolen Auto)." Source: https://mpdc.dc.gov/release/men-arrested-multiple-offenses-dc

So why was he out yesterday when he carjacked someone in Fairfax? "At 4:32 p.m. yesterday, an officer received a call from loss prevention about a suspect, Mecca Lee-Bey, observed stealing over $2,500 worth of merchandise. Upon approach, Lee-Bey fled the business and entered a nearby parking lot. Detectives from the Tysons Urban Team were asked for assistance. Lee-Bey attempted to open the door of a 2013 Kia Optima entering the garage."
