I’ve always thought it’s weird that this is sleepwear specific. My kid is way more likely to be around flame (campfire, bonfire, gas stove) in regular clothes and a jacket.

Wait, are kids not supposed to wear regular cotton pajamas either, or is this just for thicker flannel?

I assume these regs were passed when majority of adults smoked.

Do you think the parents of kids who got those injuries thought it was going to happen to them?

Are you smoking cigarettes or lighting candles next to your kids beds? If you're worried about them getting burned you'd be better off investing in smoke detectors in every room so you have plenty of time to evacuate in case of a fire.

Have someone make some using cotton flannel. I sew and the cotton flannel in fabric stores always says “not to be used for children’s sleepwear”.

I sew my child’s pajamas myself. They are simple to put together, and it’s not like my kid is judging my stitching.

Yes. They’re nice and soft. Don’t know how they get around the legal restrictions, though.

Little White Company in the UK – make sure you order from the UK site and not the US site. My kid sized out of them a few years ago, but I never had an issue ordering for delivery to the US.

I have a 9 year old who loves my cotton flannel pajamas. Where can I get her a kid version that is 100% cotton? Is there an overseas version that ships?

Due to CPSC rules, all the flannel here is polyester and not as cozy. I don't smoke cigarettes or burn candles so really not worried about fire any more than I am about a car accident. (That is, it's a concern, but I'm not going to spend too much time dwelling on it.
