Subject: Is exercise an appetite suppressant?
I am not famished after a workout, whether it be cardio or weights. I usually have to wait an hour after I hydrate and cool off, then I start to get an appetite.

I gained weight when I trained for a 1/2 marathon, and it wasn't all muscle. I was always hungry.

Very intense exercise suppresses my appetite for a few hours after. I have to remind myself to have something or I feel sick.
Gentler cardio doesn't have the same impact, at least for me.

In my experience, on the days I exercise, I eat less and am less hungry. I think it’s because exercise on any given day helps to regulate your blood sugar that day. Blood sugar swings cause cravings so you are essentially eliminating cravings.
This is also why I don’t like the advice of weight loss through just diet, with no exercise. Many people who need to lose weight, already have blood sugar issues and would greatly benefit from daily light/moderate exercise

Running 2 hours, no he never experienced that.
If I go for a walk after work I’m less hungry until dinner.

Same.
I think it's just how some of us our wired. My mother and I are complete opposites. Exercise basically eliminates hunger for her. The same amount of exercise leaves me feeling like I - a vegetarian - could eat a horse.

I'm sure it is for some people.
I am basically always hungry and have never experienced a day with little or no appetite. I tend to exercise after work, but I've noticed when I do it in the morning, I am hungrier throughout the day. I'm able to find a balance and maintain my weight if I limit to 2000 calories or so, but it's annoying!

Depends on the exercise, strength training and yoga seem to make me less hungry. Swimming or running though make me famished.

On the days I don’t exercise, I am hungry all day. But I can run for 2 hours and barely have an appetite that day. Anyone experience this?
