Cotton isn’t going to solve this problem. It expands but doesn’t contract like elastane material, so it’ll get baggy. It’s actually worse than stretch jeans.

My jeans that really don’t stretch are 90% cotton/8% poly/2% elastane.

NP.
I have a Levi’s pair that is almost identical to these. Also 100% cotton. They’re wonderful. Might order these, too!

The stretch phase is when Americans started to get bigger in size and bigger and then yuge.

This is a weird comment. The stretch doesn't make jeans fit bigger people, that's the sizing. Stretch just makes denim softer and more comfortable. I'd say the trend toward comfort and athleisure influenced that more than anything else.

OP, some brands, like Mother, have a little scale that shows how rigid/stretchy their jeans are. I have a couple pairs of rigid denim from them (100% cotton) but I prefer the ones that have a bit a of stretch (and I am not particularly big, size 4-6).

I wear Levi’s that have zero stretch. They get better with age.

Thrift store and see if you can get vintage jeans

My everlane jeans and Levi’s are like this, but I almost never reach for them bc they are not as comfortable. Madewell has some non stretch too, and I think the gap.

Look for non stretch or rigid jeans.

Everlane and Abercrombie both make “90’s” jeans that tend to be stiff. You may also need to buy your jeans smaller so that when they stretch, they are just right.

You want something that's 97%+ cotton. Check the label/description before you buy.

I recently bought a pair of Target jeans that are stiffer than what I usually buy (AG Stevie). They still have spandex, though - I remember the 100% cotton jeans of my childhood. Urgh. So uncomfortable. I'll never wear that again!

Usually 100% cotton is a stiffer, more rigid jean. Levis are notoriously stiffer.,

Also, this is a very easy google search.

Do they make jeans anymore without stretch? I want something to hold it in - not fit like leggings. I feel like every pair these days has no real shape or after an hour is stretched out. What am I looking for? Premium? All cotton? So confused.
