Because it's pretty hard to get "regular/normal" people to be on these shows, especially in a buttoned-up town like DC.
That's why Real Housewives of Potomac ended up going with black women -- Potomac is 6% black -- that aren't reprenentative of Potomac. Potomac social crowd is not show off-y, so they can't get a group of white women who would be willing to appear.
