All men want sex so let just say he’s hopeful but a lot depends on what you have done on prior dates. If nothing I’m sure he’s hoping for something but not necessarily full sex. On my second date with my now DH we had dinner at his house and I was so excited I packed a small overnight bag. I had never done anything like that before but i was more than happy to take advantage of him. He didn’t have a dog.

OP - I never had sex on a 4th date (usually it happens in a month or two, eg. 7-8 dates). But I would absolutely want to visit his place, to see if he's tidy, doesn't have a GF or a wife, and just spend some time in private. You are not teenagers to kiss in pubic all the time.

You could say you’re really excited to see him but aren’t up for meeting his dog quite yet. If he’s a decent guy, he’ll get the hint and be excited to see you anyway.
