You don't need to martyr yourself.
A, you won't recover as quickly.
B, it will breed long-term resentment.
C, people will expect you to martyr yourself in the future.
The kids don't *need* baths/activities/3-course meals when you're sick.
I would prioritize showing up to work (whatever that means for you), just so you don't slow-kill your career with your health and your kids' health issues - because I'm sure you'll be the one taking time off when your kids are sick, and not Dad, hmm?
Anything that's not work, and the essential needs of You and Little People, goes out of the window.

If you haven’t already try Sudafed, the kind you get from behind the pharmacy counter. It helps with congestion.

This is me this week…
Husband had to go out of town for work and is if on queue my 5 year old and I both came down really sick, and I still have to take care of our 6 month old… counting down the minutes until he is back!
Recovery is so hard.

Are your kids old enough to do anything themselves? My 4 yr old can get ready for bed themselves. My 6 yr old can bathe herself and make me tea and toast.

Can you take some sick leave while kids are at school? That might give you just enough energy to get through the dinner/bedtime routine. Order pizza. See if you can set up a carpool to sports so you can take a night off?

I have a pretty bad head cold. Had body aches and chills last night and this morning have a super stuffed up head and migraine level headache. Thankfully the body ache and chills have subsided.
Even though I feel horrible I still have to do all the things for the kids. Sports, dinner, bath, bed, walk the dog. DH was at work till 8pm last night and this morning is working again.
I miss the days of just laying in bed when you are sick to recover. Thankfully it’s not a worse sickness and I can walk around and slowly get things done. Oh and I work full time as well.
Even though I feel horrible I still have to do all the things for the kids. Sports, dinner, bath, bed, walk the dog. DH was at work till 8pm last night and this morning is working again.
