Barracks Row Community Walk and Talk
Next Wednesday I'll be joining ANC 6B Commissioners D'Andrea and Sobelsohn and MPD's First District Officers for a Barracks Row Community Walk and Talk to discuss challenges and solutions for the neighborhood. We'll be meeting at 8th and Pennsylvania Ave SE on October 25 at 6pm - I encourage neighbors to come join us.
It’s so obvious how he’s spitting thru gritted teeth whenever he has to acknowledge rampant crime.
Charles Allen is infuriating. I want a mea culpa from him and an explicit promise to work on crime.

Conundrum for Allen...Do I care about child victims or "child" criminals more? This guy might be 26 or under!

1) don’t answer the door if you we weren’t expecting someone and you’re home alone
2) never ever tell someone your parents aren’t home
3) if you do have to open the door - say a pizza is being delivered - as you get close to the door, shout something like “hey mom/dad, someone’s at the door” before answering it and then say they are busy
In all fairness to this kid, I suspect if he hadn't answered the suspect would have tried to break in anyway because he would have thought no one was there.
