It looks new and a good option as an alternative to the virtual academy, but be careful with the social part. A lot of MCPS schools didn't honor the promises to allow the virtual kids to participate and some families felt forced back to go in person because of the refusal to allow kids to participate in activities and extra curricular activities.

My kid is finishing up at Northwood MC2. Having lots of cohort interaction was very important academically and socially. I wonder how that will work out in virtual.

I believe the program is brand new for the class of 2027 (freshmen now). My DC expressed interest in 8th grade, however we have not heard anything from the school/MC whatsoever so far in HS.

Hi, I wonder if any parents who have/had students enrolled in the "Virtual Middle College Program" can share the pros and cons for getting enrolled in this program? It seems to be very beneficial and does not affect enrollment in home high school. Thanks.
