We just went through the tutor search with Wyzant and tried 5 tutors for an AP level class similar to what OP is looking for. One just couldn't explain anything. DC thought he was really nice but was even more lost after the session and annoyed at wasting time. Another guy, again very nice and smart, kept having to look stuff up and in the end wasn't able to help with the thing that was difficult for DC. Two were pretty decent explainers at things that were part of the core curriculum but if you veered off even a little it became less useful. The last tutor was terrific but also incredibly expensive and very difficult to schedule with.
If you do try Wyzant be prepared for some trial and error and investing money to find a good tutor.
