We had a make your own pizza and cake decorating party in our house.
I bought the premade dough from Wegmans. I made each kid two small round cakes ahead of time. It was actually one of the best parties for that age group (I think 5th grade/11th birthday), because it kept them occupied with an activity while they chatted.

California Pizza Kitchen isn't exactly cooking but they make their own pizzas, get a tour of the kitchen, and play with the dough. And it's cheap (or was 5 years ago).

Ben Yehuda Pizza let kids make their own pizzas, but they are closed Saturdays. In Silver Spring (Kemp Mill).

It sounds like fun! I’m not sure that we’re up for a party at our house but I’ll keep it in mind. Thanks…
