I'm not going to count up your days/ week but you should try and do slightly less than you do in winter and spring to give your kid a little down time.

It depends on your goal. If your goal is to improve soccer skills and the futsal club is is good, 2 days practice/ week of futsal is far better than the rest. My ds has developed every winter from futsal. You can choose to do a tournament at your leisure.

If the goal is the be more laid back and take up some free time on weekends, the indoor soccer league is fun and low key. My ds did both and enjoyed having the competition.

I probably wouldn't do all of those if you're doing another sport. Winter shouldn't be overkill imo.

DC is in their second year of travel soccer (U10). The club will probably hold one outdoor team practice and one indoor futsal game per week where they scrimmage other players in the club. The futsal is very low key, with kids skipping for other sports/activities as needed.

Right now it's not clear whether the team will decide to join a futsal league where they play against other clubs. If they don't join a futsal league, which of these would be best for development and fun?
- Small group skills training once per week
- Indoor soccer league (games only) once per week
- A futsal training program twice per week (no regular games, but certain players selected to play in regional tournaments)

DC will be doing another sport with one practice and one game per week, so I lean more toward a once per week option. But if those with more knowledge think that the futsal training is a far superior option, we could consider it.
