My child is now in middle school and, while he’s still a strong math student, other kids caught up and he’s not the extreme outlier (the teacher’s words) that he was in early elementary.
This is pretty normal. OP, if you must, supplement at home. Don't expect your K student to get 2nd grade math at school. K is all about learning to be a student and all the social skills and responsibilities that come along with that.
