Cerave and vanicream, cetaphil is all teens (young skin) need. See a dermatologist! That is what they recommend and suncreeen.

It's sold in ulta and has the same catch display as drunk elephant. Other than the price, the merchandising looks exactly the same. My tween is happy with it

Just came on to say I feel you, OP. DD13 is also under the Drunk Elephant spell, and I’ve been thinking about getting her a thing or two for Christmas. But then I also don’t want to encourage this skincare obsession. f

My teen is also into it. It's insane. I wouldn't even buy that stuff for myself.

OP here and I think this is my inclination. That with a lot of talk about how she does not need that other stuff.

My tween is also Drunk Elephant obsessed. I’ve tried the whole “your skin is perfect as is, you don’t want to put a whole bunch of unnecessary products on it”, but she is not trying to hear that. Also debating whether to splurge on some for Xmas for her.

It’s a scam. Overpriced junk.

Here’s many pages, OP, to supplement the info you get now.

My tween is ALL about skincare...despite my telling her she doesn't need any of it and it may in fact be making things worse. She's unconvinced. Drunk Elephant is on her wish list too. I don't get it.

My 10 yr old is also asking for this. The products seem so inappropriate for young skin. Firming creams? Restoring radiance? I did see a trio of mud masques that might work but otherwise seems like a waste of money for products they don't need so I probably won't even bother.

I have 10 and 13 year olds and it's all the rage (along with Lululemon legging). It's ridiculous that preteens should be using incredibly expensive skin care products. Unless they have issues like bad acne, there's no need for them to use anything beyond Cetaphil and moisturizer. Though if she has very fair skin, it might make sense to use a daily moisturizer that has SPF.

Hell no. First of all, that stuff is EXPENSIVE.

I tried it for the better part of a year b/c I really liked the ingredients and idea behind it (sort of mixing into your own formula . . . ) but the products are oily. And my non-acne prone skin broke out horribly. A lot of the products have Marula Oil. And if you look online, my experience is common.

As soon as I stopped, my skin cleared up.

Maybe it will work for her and not cause breakouts.
