Pretty sure he wouldn't have done that to a guy. OP said this happened the first time she took the dog out without her husband. She thought the perp (sorry, the troubled young gentleman) was hiding in the bushes. Another poster in the area said that she and her boyfriend had seen someone crouching in bushes, the boyfriend yelled at him, and he ran away. So basically you need to have a male escort like under sharia law.

How will he ever be a productive part of the society? That train has left. I would send him to some warzone and maybe he can contribute there.

If we were qualified to treat kids like this then sure.

I don’t know how to help the kid personally, but I do think he should get help. I’d rather see him as a productive part of our community instead of ending up commuting worse crimes.

Read the Reddit post. The perpetrator didn't even try to fake remorse. After 2 weeks of sleep away camp he'll be back on the street.

OP was sexually assaulted by a stranger while walking her dog. Turns out the Arlington police caught the guy and he was a 17 y/o HS student. He was convicted on additional sexual assaults on strangers in the area AND recorded ALL of them! Despite all of this, he was sentenced to 10 days in juvie, 80 additional days suspended, and a sex offender treatment program. No SO registry. He will be back at HS after he finishes his juvenile sentence.

They’re going to let this guy off with a slap on the wrist and he’s going to offend again worse and more innocent women will be victimized.
