I’ve seen them at metro commuting stops. Come the season you can also ask your work colleagues if any of them know a Girl Scout; probably at least one will give you their daughter/niece/granddaughters page. And for cookies to try I’m adjusted to Tagalogs (the peanut butter filled ones).

Also, if you are on a neighborhood listserv or next-door group just post in December and say you're looking for cookies I am positive someone will respond with a link to order from their kid.

They honestly all suck compared to most cookies you can buy in-store (and cost more). That said, I’m impressed at the girls who still go door-to-door and want to support them, specifically, so I’ll usually get a box of Tagalongs and Adventurefuls.

Samoas are caramel, chocolate, and coconut. Not my favorite but they are the 2nd most popular (thin mints are first).

I like adventurefuls (crispy chocolate with caramel), trefoils (basic shortbread), and lemon-ups.

To me, the smores taste very synthetic.

If you're a peanut butter fan they have do-si-dos (a sandwich cookie) and tagalongs (chocolate coating, pb inside).

Trefoils are a nice basic biscuit for dipping in tea or coffee.

You can buy online and have them shipped to you but then you pay shipping. Otherwise, find a troop selling outside a grocery store. In this area, web and door to door sales start in December, booth sales start in February.

Ok! I will try Samoa’s. Equally love s’more”y” type of recipes. I’ll likely have to ship them. I have never seen a troupe ever on my side of town. Back home I could find them out front of a Walmart. Just don’t recall the time of year. Glad to know December is the month.

The raspberry did not return this year.

Definitely the lemon ones. They are hard to find.

Perhaps this is better in the food // cooking section - but I may live in a Girl Scout cookie desert. By pure happenstance (say a colleague brought them in for us at work- but I’m now remote)— Ive only ever had thin mints. I want to try some of there other varieties and don’t know where to start. What do you suggest?

Also I’m I’m in NE DC which seems to sparse on the Girl Scout troupe. Where else should I look for GS stands?
