So he's being a much more focused parent to your 3 year old than you are to your 5 year old and you think he has a problem? The problem is that 3 year olds take much more attention than 5 year olds, so he needs to focus more on your younger child than on his phone.
You should not expect responses to your texts unless there is a question or a problem that you need a response to. There is no reason that he needs to respond to a bunch of photos of your 5 year old enjoying himself on vacation.

Op here he has not responded since yesterday afternoon. Going a day and a half without communication is very unusual.

My husband is not “attached” to his phone and the phone only rings with calls, not texts. If it’s something important I call him. Otherwise I will text him but I don’t assume he’s sitting by his phone waiting for a text.
