Thank you OP for posting. I had no idea they had these pants. I’ve been desperately searching for petite pants like these and haven’t found them anywhere! I’m heading to the store first thing tomorrow to try them on.

They do seem pricey but if they last, they’re worth it. Also, I get $10 off coupons a few times a year so you might want to wait for the next one.

What are you doing in those pants? And how are you washing them? Mine are not faded or getting holes.

Llbean has a great guarantee and if they fade or get a hole within a year, you can exchange for a new pair. Btw I often repair small holes in knitwear, it they are not due to thinning in the fabric

Most companies hike prices a month before Black Friday to make their deals seem more appealing.

Just wait until Black Friday.

So unlike the rest of my wardrobe they are sort of disposable, I suppose. Wish I could find a replacement. I love how they fit and feel but the fading bums me out and now the 50% price increase has incentivized me to find a new favorite, hopefully pants that don't fade.

If you know for sure you are going to buy them, pay attention to the sales. LL Bean doesn't do lots of sales like other stores do, but they do good Black Friday discounts -- maybe buy several pairs when that hits, and keep a couple on ice for when you need replacements. You can probably get them for close to the old price that way.

Thanks for the thought! It's a good one. Admittedly, I almost always decide it's time to buy them when there is no real sale going on. I need to pay attention.

OMG how many pairs of these pants do you have? Or are they basically disposable pants and you have to replace them every 6 months?

I agree that's a huge price jump but as someone who buys pants and then wears them for years, that would be a bummer but manageable on a per-wear basis. Different than, like eggs, where I have to pay an extra 2-3 dollars once a week all year round.

I've been wearing LLBean's Perfect Fit pants for years. I buy them once or twice a year. Just went online to stock up and saw that they've gone up from $40 to $60. Anyone have a similar experience with clothing staples? I mean a 50% increase is pretty crazy.
