Similar—lived in 7 countries, moved here late 20s, got married at 34, kids at 36 and 40. They are in elementary now.

Generational. Older people got married younger. I was an outlier amongst my friends and sisters. I got married at 33. They all got married in their early to mid 20s.

Today, I'm seeing my nieces get married in their 30s.

I'm 53.

I think it is quite the opposite. Most people marry later here. I don’t know anyone who married in their early twenties. I got married at 29 and I was the first in our circles.

I got married at 23 and I'm from Paris. My circle is pretty traditional in that respect - my Parisian friends from college all married in their mid-20s. When I moved to DC, though I was the youngest mother by far, and met women who had advanced in their careers first, then gotten married and had kids.

Maybe better way to do this is ask your current age, when you got married, and where you’re originally from.
