The problem is that if he’s forgetting if he’s eaten a meal, he might forget to tap to update, or forget how to use the technology at all. But it’s absolutely worth a try.

Following with interest. I was asking previously about devices to help my dad stay in contact with people more. Like I know his cousin has been trying to contact him. I would like to make a big button appear that says "Tap to call Cousin."

Maybe that is too specific of a use case.

I see this thing called Skylight advertised a lot - I wonder if that would work?

OP here - it could be an app too. I'm researching whiteboard apps right now

If he's having memory issues, callings your best bet. You could use an alexa show.

Is there a tablet sized screen/device with an always-on display, where I can send updates regularly from my own phone/device? I want to be able to update it daily with messages (appointment today, dog groomer at X, water shut off at X).

It would be amazing if he could tap to update (check off when he's eaten a meal. He forgets if he's eaten breakfast or lunch sometimes)

He has an iPad but happy to buy something new. It would be cool if I could share pictures too. I'm not having much luck searching online. Thanks!
