How many direct flights exist anymore? I'd prefer non-stop when traveling, but I remember direct flights as well and those were nice because you could stay on the plane. The last one I was on was decades ago, I figured they were a relic of the past

Pretty sure OP was referring to HHI. There are a number of flights to SAV from the DC area. The issue is a 55 minute drive vs an 8 minute drive.
And the answer is- no, there are currently no nonstops IAD-HHI.
