When we bought our last house it took 5 months to close and then there was a 2 month rent back because the seller was moving into a continuing care community in another state near their child and then had a heart attack in the midst of the process. We worked with their family to make it as easy as possible for them.
So please don’t assume something is wrong with the buyer.

It could even be a 60-day close, that could have worked better for the seller. You can certainly ask but the timing is not an indicator that the buyer is failing.

But, it ended up taking even longer than that-not because we "couldn't make the cut" but because the seller was failing to perform on part of the contract (a repair he agreed to do in the contract.) It ended up taking about 5 months to close.

Advise the client that if they take your offer, they will be sued by the buyer and will have no viable defense. You might be a cheatah, but the buyer has a valid contract and the right to sue for specific performance.
You know what's more impressive than a cheatah, as assumption of liability clause.

Maybe they agreed to a 30 day closing pending some other deadline. If the house is under contract, the seller cannot accept your offer and enter into a contract with you.
