I didn’t love Einstein. But I’m not sure Blair is any better.
It’s pretty harsh to make your kid change schools junior year. Is there any way he could stay at his home school?
He wants to change.

So, dumb question, but if he's guaranteed Einstein if he puts it first, is there any reason to put more choices on the form? Or does the form force you to fill out all the spots. If so, is there any reason to spend a second on figuring out the rest of them, or should he just put them in order of distance from our house or something and be done?
I don’t know if anyone answered you, but yes the form makes you fill out all 5.

I have two very happy musicians/performers at Einstein who are also solid students taking APs. You don’t have to do the IB diploma to get rigorous courses.

Einstein is great for performing and fine arts. Their school musicals are routinely terrific.

I mean if he doesn't want to ride the bus then yes put Einstein first and be done with it. It's a great school.
If the bus wasn’t a factor is there a reason to look at the other schools?

IIRC you do have to rank all 5. But the order of the others doesn't matter once you rank your home school #1.

My 10th grader loves music, and hopes to major in it in college. He sings and plays an instrument, and would love to take a dance class or do some music theater in high school.
He likely won't play sports in school.
