I would not pass… but I might have honked at them if they went by an opportunity to pull over to let me pass. No shade to anyone who would pass in this circumstance; I’m just a nervous driver.

In a heartbeat, assuming good visibility ahead so that the passing can be done safely. It helps to move decisively and to have a powerful vehicle which can overtake others quickly, reducing the risk associated of oncoming traffic appearing unexpectedly, e.g., pulling out from a driveway or side road. The faster you can pass and get back in your lane, the better.

Sometimes when passing in such circumstances the car being overtaken will suddenly accelerate, to express pique at your temerity and to try to force you to drop back. Driving a car with significant power reserves nullifies the effects of such behavior by leaving the slug well behind despite efforts to keep you behind them.

Assuming they don’t need help, I’m passing at .1 miles.

Was there anyone behind you? I would have felt more peer pressure if that were the case.

Me too.
I always find myself passing as well when on a two-lane road & I find myself behind a large, garbage truck.

The constant stop 🛑 + go is too slow for me.

Another +1. 25 mph over 10 miles. I couldn’t have lasted that long.

I'm not sure I would with a median, that makes me nervous. But I'd be plenty frustrated so who knows lol

Rural, two-lane road with a wide median (so not for passing) in the center. No lights, no pullouts. I just drove 10+ miles behind someone going 25 in a 55. DH said he would have passed, but I’m a rule follower. Would you have?
