I'd like to hear more about this melee. That whole block has gone to hell over the past ten years. From the long term vacant properties that the city promotes with their weird tax breaks, to the general feel of it. I was visiting a relative in Colorado who lives in a 'town' in Denver... We have many neighborhoods in DC with distinct identities that could be comparable. In her "town", it looks maintained and charming, and they also routinely have community events such as parades, races, live music nights on the main street with bandstands, businesses that interact with the community doing social good -- rather than the community abusing the businesses. I mean, what's wrong with this picture? This sucks.

There was a robbery in the 4200 block of Connecticut @ 9am per MPD alert, shortly before the walk started, so maybe that was addressed? Or the shooting at Brandywine recently with the shooter running across Forest Hills playground?

Both Ward 1 and 2 walks are in Shaw. 7th & O and 6th & T.
