At 42yo, I am 20lbs overweight, following covid and three miscarriages in the last couple years. In the last week I decided I am not going to continue in this trajectory and need to invest in myself so I can be healthy and around for my family and myself. I quit my nightly wine habit and my morning tea with sugar habit. I started walking a minimum of 10,000 steps (up from average of around 6,000) and am hitting my water goal and tracking macronutrients through Fitbit. I have lost zero weight on the scale so far, but I am sleeping better, my HRV is improved and I’d say keeping low carb/higher protein is keeping my mood weigh more steady throughout the day.

I am massively overweight... Have started Noom and walking at least 7500 steps everyday and watching what I eat. I eat breakfast every day, large salad with protein for lunch, some snacks of hummus and veggies, then a small dinner with some, but not a lot of carbs.

Down 18#. Slides off quickly when you are oevrweight as I am

That’s awesome. Beautiful time of year to run, too.

Have lost 50 pounds in the last 6 months and gone from having difficulty climbing any stairs at all and having to only use my good leg to climb, holding the railing tightly pre-surgery, to needing help to get up the stairs post surgery, to jogging up two flights with a tandem gait, or walking the two flights while carrying a full laundry basket. Can also balance in a K pose or tree pose on my “weak” leg for 30 seconds without holding anything for balance and doing 30 second wall sits.

I love this. Good work! I’m gonna try the K pose and the wall sits. And the losing weight 😊

Thank you. It's no always easy but it's doable. I know I'm worth it.

I got a FitBit at the beginning of the month and have become a bit obsessive about it: averaging 17,000 steps a day. My goal is to make it through October doing at least 15,000 steps a day.
