Fried apples. Slice tart apples (Granny Smiths are good). Cook in a bit of melted butter with cinnamon and nutmeg. I like them to stay a bit crunchy, but you can cook them as soft as you like. You can add a bit of light brown sugar while you’re cooking them, but I usually don’t. You can also add a bit of vanilla. These are nice as a side dish, and great with oatmeal and a bit of vanilla ice cream.

I’ve made stuffing with apples and sausage; and sautéed apples with cooked sweet potatoes and pecans. Sorry I don’t have recipes— I just do it based on taste.

Boo. You lost me at the fat free cream cheese and margarine. I had high hopes

You can use butter and regular cream cheese. It will taste just as good.

Slice apples and either saute them or bake them and serve with pork chops.

I finely chop my apples so you get little bits throughout the bread.

Are you sharing, if not why bother dangling the carrot?

The person wanted recipes, who cares about your family recipe if you can't share it. What use is it?

She asked other apple things she should be making. I'm at work, and don't have it on me.

Feel free to look up apple bread recipes online. It's a legitimate suggestion.

Maybe she's looking for tried and true, hence the title of the post "Apple Recipes?"

If she can post, I'm sure she can google recipes herself. I think she is looking for tried and true probably.

I make pies and cake and applesauce, but what else should I be making for the next couple of months?
